Supervision is an integral part of working with participants. This supervision can involve one to one sessions with the Responsible Officer or as part of a group activity such as Unpaid Work or a Offending Behaviour Programme. Supervision helps ensure the participant is engaging with their order.
Supervision whether as a one to one with participants or supervising participants in a group activity will:
- Challenge attitudes towards offending and promotes changes in behaviours
- Monitor and review behaviour patterns and flag up potential issues
- Give support to participants who need signposting to other organisations
- Deal with immediate issues such as accommodation, finances, benefits
