In 2010 the two probation areas of Durham and Teesside merged to form Durham Tees Valley Probation Trust - one of the highest performing probation areas in the country. In 2014 DTV Probation Trust became The Durham Tees Valley Community Rehabilitation Company (DTV CRC) and in February 2015 Achieving Real Change in Communities (ARCC) took over ownership of the DTV CRC.
Rehabilitation is the core aim of DTV CRC and our vision is to enable people to participate in a positive future. By building on existing best practice and using innovative, forward thinking approaches we aim to reduce reoffending through a variety of evidence-led interventions and will work with key partners to protect communities. We believe in the ability of individuals to change their lives and support people in doing so.
To achieve our aim we will

- Have lean and effective processes that enable continuous improvement
- Build a reputation for protecting our communities and supporting participant rehabilitation
- Run an efficient and sustainable business
We employ approximately 200 colleagues across the organisation who are highly skilled and bring a wealth of experience in managing participants and working with partnership organisations to achieve the best outcomes for local communities and the individuals themselves.
